River street is paved with 200 year old ballast-stones originally used to weigh down cotton ships, this riverfront street is littered with local restaurants and boutiques as well as historical monuments.

Savannah’s Historic District encompasses more than 20 city squares laid out in a distinctive grid pattern by General James E. Oglethorpe, founder of the British Colony of Georgia in 1733

Chippewa Square

Chippewa Square is named for an event on the northern border with Canada. In the Battle of Chippewa, in 1814, American forces emerged victorious over the British near Niagara Falls, and when Chippewa Square was built in 1815.

EXCELLENT sightseeing trolley and we have done them all. This one was new so we figured we'd give it a shot. We are glad we did because they far surpassed any other sightseeing tour we have done in Savannah. Great pricing at $28/pp plus we found $5 off coupons at Debi's (best breakfast in town, right on Bay Street). For $23/pp we had a great tour that took us places we haven't been before, we got the 2nd day free AND extra added awesome bonus was the unlimited shuttle service. They drop you off where you want, you call a number when you are done and they pick you up and bring you back to your hotel. Chris, our tour guide, was one in a million with his top notch history of Savannah with a bit of humor thrown in. He was great! Definitely on our list to try again the next time we are in town. They offer a variety of services as an FYI and well worth it.

I wanted to give 5 stars because our tour guide/driver Michele was awesome. We learned so much from her! However, we had to rush to catch the trolley because the reservation confirmation gave the wrong address for starting the tour. It's not 223 Martin Luther King Jr. Ave, but 301 Martin Luther King Jr (Visitor's Center). We'd even gotten a call the day before from a gal from Greyline confirming our reservation and she asked me if I had the address. I told her I did. She should have made sure because I'm certain we weren't the first people to have this issue! Once we were on the trolley, however, we really enjoyed it and would recommend it. Thank you, Michele!

This is the best sightseeing trolley service! Departure from the visitor center was on time and Dan was an excellent tour guide. He is very knowledgeable and gave us a great overview which helped us know where to spend our time. The bonus unlimited shuttle service was wonderful! All we had to do was call, and within a few moments we were picked up. I highly recommend this tour by Gray Line/Kelley Tours.
