Happy to tell you that I'm okay after going through the Lava Flow of 2018. This area has changed so much. It's a real good place to learn what Pele's Lava can do when she's really pissed off! Lots of damage but, that's how she cleans house!

This was an incredible tour. My 15 year old daughter loves science and social media...) and wanted to see where this 2018 eruption happened. This residential neighborhood surrounded where lava tore through it-still warm and 8 fissures. Rod, our guide is an actual resident of this area and caretaking several of the properties left in the lava path. Some of the homes are on "islands" now surrounded by cooled rock. It was a humbling and amazing experience to see streets that just end where homes and through roads used to be. If you go to the Big Island you need to do this tour.

Me and my wife visited Big Island on October 2019. I'm a geologist and I wanted to go to fissure 8 but was very difficult to find tours there, after many researches we found this tour. Our guide Carey Mills picked us up on time and according to our needs, so we started this very beautiful experience. The tour was simply amazing we saw exactly what we wondered, and more than we expected! We spoke directly with people of Leilani that told us their experiences of those days. We walked on one of several fissure opened on May 2018. We dicovered a lot of interesting things and saw incredible landscapes. Carey told us that a part of money we paid will be transferred to owners that lost everything so it is also socially useful. So if you'll visit Big Island DO NOT miss the opportunity to help and learn! Grazie!!!!
