Aurora Point was an excellent place to view the Northern Lights. Salmon Berry tour guide Harrison met us in Anchorage and he stayed with us 5 days we toured in Anchorage and Fairbanks. We flew to Fairbanks and our guide, Harrison, was with us and told us many things about the Northern Lights and took us many other places. I highly recommend Salmon Berry Tours and our guide Harrison.

We started in Anchorage at the Copper Whale Inn, a very cozy and warm Inn. John met us in the morning and gave us a tour and took us to Dennis Kananowicz dog sled area where we had the most amazing adventure. We drove the sled with 5 amazing dogs pulling my wife and I. We spent the night in a beautiful cabin in Talkeetna. That evening Robbie gave us explained in detail about the Auroras we were hunting and how they happen. A Great explanation and websites where we could learn more about how we could predict when we might see them. The next day was taking the train through Denali to Fairbanks. Over the next 3 days Harrison helped us explored Fairbanks and to hunt for the Auroras in the evening and early mornings. We were successful on the 3rd night. We saw what we came for, the Aurora dancing in the early morning hour. As Harrison explained; Be patient, Go outside and hunt for them, Dress warm, It's worth it. He was right. Thank you John, Robbie and Harrison. John

We did the Aurora Tour from Anchorage to Fairbanks during an epic series of weather events in the middle of a pandemic surge that required a large amount of logistical flexibility. We were so impressed with communication and problem solving by the whole Salmon Berry team. We had an amazing trip with John as our guide in Anchorage, who seemed to be a mind reader and anticipated our questions and needs, including finding us breakfast and coffee even though power was out in the whole town of Talkeetna! Our Fairbanks based guide, Harrison, was full of energy and equally resourceful, so glad we had an especially amazing night of aurora with him. I have reviewed all of our side excursions as 5 star as well (Glacier Hike, Dallas Seavey Dogsled Tour, Snowshoe Aurora, Chena Hotsprings, Arctic Circle Flight tour), the amount of respect and professionalism among all of these local small businesses is evident and adds to the experience. If you come in the winter, I highly recommend the extreme weather gear rental option. We are active outdoors people from Colorado and our own gear would not have been as toasty warm! Thank you, Candice, for an amazing tour and helping us celebrate anniversary #31 and knocking out our 50th state! We will for sure use Salmon Berry for our summertime visit!
