Salmon Berryās guide, Harrison, picked us up at the Fairbanks airport and off we went in search of the northern lights after arriving at about 10:30 pm ! It was -17 degrees when we
started and continued to get colder the wind doing itās part to keep us VERY cold...skies were overcast so we did not see the lights. Did see the āpipelineā and learned about itās construction and
pro/cons of the pipeline. We settled in a the Ski Lodge which was a warm spot to sit for a moment while we chatted about possible sightings, etc.
We spent a lot of time looking at slides and learning from Harrison all about the history of other aurora sightings, which makes for the perfect possibility to see the Northern lights, etc.
The stars were amazing, the education Illuminating, and the experience was stellar. Maybe next time weāll see the lights.
Best guide ever...highly recommend Salmon Berry Tours and this guide, Harrison !
