Family-Friendly Nature Hike around the Big Bear Valley

Overview
I've been an outdoor adventure guide in Big Bear for the last five years. I've been exploring all the best hiking trails in the Big Bear Valley for the last 20 years. It's hard to find an easy hike in Big Bear; A lot of trails are steep and hard for little kids. This trail is actually stroller-friendly also, which you can not say about a lot of hiking trails in the mountain communities.
I love the peace and solitude of this trail in the woods. It's hiked mostly by locals who live in this neighborhood and is not a tourist spot. I personally love to share the local history around the Big Bear Valley. I really enjoy pointing out different flora and fauna to my younger guests and teaching them how interesting nature can be like the wild native insects we might see on the trails

We have visited Big Bear multiple times and have always tried to explore some nature trails each time. It gets harder and harder to find family appropriate trails that can accommodate a stroller. We love taking the ski lifts up and hiking around the top of the slopes, but I didn't feel comfortable taking our 10 month old up on the lift so we were looking for other options. My husband stumbled upon Amber's Family-Friendly hike and we decided to give it a shot. After we booked our hike Amber reached out right away to make sure we would be ready to go. When we met up with Amber on the morning of our hike she provided treasure boxes to our 3 older kiddos (7.5, 6, and 2) so they could collect treasures from the hike to take home with us. The hike was easy enough that our 2 year old was able to walk the entire time and the kids loved being able to taste the Bristlecone Pine needles, the red rose buds, and the smell of Rabbit's Brush. Amber was very knowledgable and shared a wealth of information, but she did not overwhelm us with information. We would highly recommend using Amber and we will definitely be using her again for future adventures.

My daughter and my two grandchildren went on the family hike offered by Amber. It was a great adventure for everyone of us since we learned about the forest, the trees, the bushes, the edible plants as well as the fAuna of the area. Amber is a very good guide who loves to share her knowledge of this environment.

My wife, 15 month old son and I had an awesome time! Our guide was fantastic and very knowledgeable about the area, and the scenery was beautiful. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a fun hike.
