Family-Friendly Nature Hike around the Big Bear Valley

Overview
I've been an outdoor adventure guide in Big Bear for the last five years. I've been exploring all the best hiking trails in the Big Bear Valley for the last 20 years. It's hard to find an easy hike in Big Bear; A lot of trails are steep and hard for little kids. This trail is actually stroller-friendly also, which you can not say about a lot of hiking trails in the mountain communities.
I love the peace and solitude of this trail in the woods. It's hiked mostly by locals who live in this neighborhood and is not a tourist spot. I personally love to share the local history around the Big Bear Valley. I really enjoy pointing out different flora and fauna to my younger guests and teaching them how interesting nature can be like the wild native insects we might see on the trails

I grew up in the San Bernardino mountains and had spent a lot of time in the woods. I found Amber on Instagram and marveled at her pictures and places unfamiliar and yet familiar to me. On a recent visit home, I decided to look her up, and am so glad I did. Amber guided me to some real gems, and I ended up booking additional hikes with her. She'll be on my agenda whenever I return home and will be the highlight of the trip.

Booked a last minute hike with Amber and she was very accommodating. I've been to Big Bear many times but with the huge amount of snow I had no idea where to hike. Luckily Amber knew where to go, and it was really educational to chat with a local guide who knows all the history, plants and traffic rules of Big Bear. I learned a lot in the 90 minutes talking and walking. And the snow scenery was beautiful everywhere you look. Most importantly Amber's tours are dog friendly and I was glad to bring my dog who loves running in the snow.

A nature walk is a must do when in Big Bear! Amber was very kind and informative and the hike was just right for mama and seven year old daughter. She is very knowledgeable about the area and has many different hike and adventure locations in her repertoire. If you aren’t familiar with Big Bear hike locations and need a guaranteed great nature experience for a crew with low mobility/mountain skills, this is for you.
