Visit our newly renovated Dinosaur Hall -- Evolving Planet -- where giant sloths, woolly mammoths and dinosaurs mingle! Located on Chicago’s Museum Campus, The Field Museum also has dining facilities, two 3D theaters and an unbeatable view of Lake Michigan and Chicago’s downtown skyline. Amazing day spent at this awesome museum. An absolute must when in Chicago. Loved the lions of Tsavo the most and Jurassic world was incredible real life like dinosaurs. Sue is impressive. Food is not great in the cafes so take your own.

I would never go on a free admission for Illinois residents day......it was so packed, it was hard to see much. And all but one 3D movie was sold out, so we didn't have a choice on which one to see. The parking was an absolute mess, but there was an auto show just on the other side of Soldier Field, so we say in line just to park for over half an hour. Other than that, it's a great museum with lots to see from all around the world. Great interactive things to do as well. Just pick your day wisely!
