Just say yes! If you like oxymorons, BBBH is the company for you, because we were as pampered as can be during a three-day canoe trip down the breathtaking Boquillas Canyon--bathroom aside, of course. We were apprehensive because--it must be faced--camping riverside is quite more rugged than we usually roll, but Erica was amazing! She schooled us, She entertained us. She pampered us. She shared expert knowledge not only of floating, but also of the entire Big Bend/southwest Texas ecosystem, history, culture and current life. She's a damn good cook, a knowledgeable river guide and an all-around fun-loving, sociable wench. If you're looking for any boating or hiking around Big Bend National Park, I highly suggest reaching out to Erica and Erin at Big Bend Boating & Hiking first!

Michelle and I were guided by Erin up the Rio Grande through the Santa Elena on a 70 degree March day and the experience could not have been and better. Erin is knowledgeable, attentive, caring and a skilled river guide. She is passionate about the park and the region's history and we thoroughly enjoyed our time with her. It was relaxing and fun. Even if you are not an experienced paddler, Erin is patient and there is no need to worry. Erica was guiding a Road Scholar group the day we visited but no doubt she would be equally excellent!

Erica took us on a grand adventure up the Santa Elena canyon and back. She is a VERY experienced and knowledgeable lady. As a fellow outdoor guide, it was great to get to learn from her. She is amazing at what she does.
