Florida Bioluminescence Kayaking Tour | Haulover canal (Titusville)

Overview
Florida bioluminescence is the #1 kayaking trip in the Orlando, Cocoa beach area. We are located about an hour from Universal Studios and The Walt Disney world area theme parks. Our "tourist tours or "visitor tours", as the locals would call them, are ideal for a romantic evening on the water or an expedition in the name of science with the little ones (as long as they are over 5yrs of age). Our tour guides will guide you through the Indian River lagoon and show you something truly magical as we make our way through mangrove trails and the shallow flats of the lagoon.

We will spend a leisurely 90 mins on the water during this tour. You may want to leave the camera at home for this excursion, as the bioluminescence is very hard to photograph unless you have professional equipment.

This wasnā€™t a tour. We had a super hard workout just to get our kayaks to stay in one spot otherwise the current pushed us back to the shore. The winds were 15 mph since a storm had just rolled through earlier in the day. Our guide (Guy) said that they cancel tours at 17 mph. This company really needs to look into that policy. Forget about seeing anything actually lighting up in the water, but that could be because we went slightly out of season (Oct 28). Iā€™m sure this tour could be good if the waters are calm, but I will never go again. The only plus side to this is that I can skip the gym today.

Hi thank you for paddling out with us! Sounds like you guys had a windy evening. Unfortunately not every night will be a postcard tour. However we will still. paddle put to provide the best experience we can, given the conditions we have to work with on any given day. We will not paddle out in a small craft advisory. Our guides are trained to teach you haw to paddle in adverse weather conditions, because Florida weather can change in an instant.

This was our first night time Kayak experience, beautiful clear star filled sky night . Guy & Erin were our knowledgeable Ecological champions & safety guides. Great Eco adventure. We learned a lot ā€” had no idea mangroves were so endangered, the bioluminescent algae so interesting , even sparkled on my skin, we were able to hold the blue comb jellies. Waves on River up a bit but water was warm, a bit of an exciting challenge, wonderful experience! Thank you Guy & Erin

If you really want to see something that lights up at night set your 55 dollars on fire and stay on shore! First of all what they donā€™t make clear is that you get a tandem kayak whether or not you want one which I did not. Then you are on unfamiliar waters with in our case a guide that most of the time you didnā€™t know where he was until people started yelling! Then he would either turn his little red beacon light on or his giant spot light in your eyes that temporarily blinds you yelling watch out for some potentially catastrophic obstruction in the water. I have done a lot of kayaking in several states with myself or friends and have felt much safer. Then there is the launch sight. In the middle of the night you will be wondering if anyone will find you if you go missing. Hope this helps. Wish I would have read this before wasting my money.

Hey, thanks for paddling out with us! It sounds like you may have been so exited to paddle out w/us that you completely overlooked the entire website where we CLEARLY state that this experience is done in tandem kayaks. (We don't make the rulesšŸ¤·šŸ½ā€ā™‚ļø). When you called and asked about tandem kayaks you sounded so thrilled by my answer, I could tell by how fast your demeanor changed and the dial tone. Had you had 1 more moment for me, you would have allowed me to explain that you could have asked your guide to convert a tandem into a single since there was space to do so, but you didn't have time to hear that unfortunately. Mom used to always say, you can catch more flies with sugar.. I have no idea what that means, because who wants to catch flies?! šŸ¤¦šŸ½ā€ā™‚ļø Anywho hope this help explain why you were in a tandem kayak w/only 5 people on the water. See you soonšŸ˜Š
