Florida Bioluminescence Kayaking Tour | Haulover canal (Titusville)

Overview
Florida bioluminescence is the #1 kayaking trip in the Orlando, Cocoa beach area. We are located about an hour from Universal Studios and The Walt Disney world area theme parks. Our "tourist tours or "visitor tours", as the locals would call them, are ideal for a romantic evening on the water or an expedition in the name of science with the little ones (as long as they are over 5yrs of age). Our tour guides will guide you through the Indian River lagoon and show you something truly magical as we make our way through mangrove trails and the shallow flats of the lagoon.

We will spend a leisurely 90 mins on the water during this tour. You may want to leave the camera at home for this excursion, as the bioluminescence is very hard to photograph unless you have professional equipment.

Bonnie was an amazing tour guide. Her knowledge of the water , fish and animals was spot on. Definitely a personable and energetic vibe. Chris was very great at random facts and entertaining throughout the quiet moments. Guy was a great chill relax guy that was very safe & helpful. Iā€™m so great to have chose the Florida adventure tour and would definitely recommend to others for an exciting experience.

Well, we were very excited about this tour and enjoyed what we saw after finally in the water. Our guides said they had a secret spot to drop in, which took over 30 minutes as we were getting eaten alive in mosquito bay (yes, this is really itsā€™ name). It was also very shallow getting into main area where we would have been if just went in where other groups went in. Guide finally admitted it was the first time he had used that secret spot and probably wouldnā€™t use it again. Finally got in the water around 9:30pm and put of the kayak at 10:30 and back in our car. Not the promised 90 minutes. When we were on the water it was fun, but very little discussion heard on wildlife. There were too many kayaks in the water and it was dark with other groups out there too. Rent a kayak and save yourself $70 per person. Drop in at Beacon 42 public boat ramp for all to use.

All of this activity was amazing, the bioluminescence was bright and an unique experience. We ended up with just our group being on the tour and the guide Josiah was very helpful and able to provide a lot of information about the area and the wildlife. We got lucky in having a group of dolphins around us and the opportunity to see them jumping however I found the bioluminescence to be just as neat. The location is in the middle of nowhere so beware of that; the map the company sends brings you right to it but there are a lot of back roads through a wilderness to get there- otherwise eat, run to the bathroom, and get cash for a tip before heading out there!! I completely forgot to hit the ATM before going out there and was left scrounging for whatever cash we had for a tip (these guides certainly deserve them). We definitely plan to come back and do another trip with them!
