What To Expect

Sawgrass Recreation Park

In this private Florida Everglades Airboat tour, your experienced captain will guide your craft across the river of sawgrass and cattails at speeds up to 40 mph (64 km), all under the cover of dark. As you glide across the swamp, you’ll hear the calls and rustling of the Everglades’ nocturnal creatures. Your guide will tell you stories about the Seminole Indians who lived in this wilderness, as well as the panthers, birds, snakes, frogs, fish and bugs that call this national wildlife preserve home. In addition to this fascinating airboat adventure, you’ll also gain entrance to exhibit areas at Sawgrass Recreation Park during normal daytime hours. You’ll see many species both native and exotic to Florida, learn about a 1,000-pound alligator and interact with animals in the swamp yard exhibit. Important Note: Pricing is based on a per person basis; regardless of number of people booking, you are buying out the whole boat for your private tour. All ages are welcome to enjoy the airboat tour. Children 3 years and under need not be included in the guest count as there are no additional charges for this age.

I loved it! Wish it was longer. We saw about 4/5 gators. I do believe there are areas deeper where the bigger ones are but I enjoyed it.

We’re from the UK and knew this would be our one and only trip on the Everglades so I did lots of research before booking this tour and I’m so glad I chose this one. We booked an evening red eye private tour and it was amazing. Our captain was great and knowledgeable and we were very lucky to see at least 8 gators. The ride was thrilling and having the opportunity to see the alligators up close in their natural habitat was stunning. Before our tour we looked around the exhibit’s and had a photo opportunity with a gator and the guy was friendly and informative. A trip we will never forget.

We started working with Nicole at the Sawgrass Recreation Park in January for our large group to do a private airboat tour during our company offsite. I'm not going when I say this was one of the most incredible things we've ever done. Everyone loved that food we added for catering, and the tour itself was great. While we only saw a few gators, it was just so beautiful. Just miles and miles of wetlands and getting to experience this with our team was truly magical. Nicole and the team easily accommodated our group of 85 and I will definitely be back.
