We are the pioneers of NYC food tours since 1999!

Our tour will not only leave you full with EIGHT TASTINGS (not samples like on other Chelsea Market tours), but will include under-the-radar historical tales of Chelsea Market, like how it used to be a factory for Nabisco and the origin of the Oreo cookie. In addition to the trendy and bustling spots on the main floor, we will also visit Chelsea Local downstairs, where locals actually shop for their food.

8 tastings are included with this tour with two opportunities to sit down. All tastings are done inside Chelsea Market. We will make sure you leave full and satisfied with a buttermilk biscuit, homemade Italian crostata, NYC #1 hot dog, Pizza, Gelato and much much more!

Once outside, walk on the High Line, NYC’s elevated public park. You’ll hear compelling tales of the rail line that once served the West Side’s factories and butchers. You’ll wander through the Meatpacking District and find out how this area went from not to hot!

What To Expect

Chelsea Market

Join us as we reveal the secrets and uniqueness of one of the greatest indoor food markets. Discover why the OREO COOKIE was invented in this building in 1912. Enjoy artisanal foods including; an artisanal NY hot dog from Dickson’s, Sicilian Pizza from Filaga, NY State Cheeses from Saxelby’s, a delicious Italian Crostata from Buon Italia, a Japanese inspired Taco from Takumi Taco, Buttermilk Biscuit and Homemade Jam from Sarabeth’s, Gelato from L’arte Del Gelato, and always something special from Chelsea Market Baskets. (Tastings are subject to change)

Meatpacking District

Learn about the last of the Meatpacking District’s working butchers while learning about the nightlife revolution of this not-to-hot neighborhood.

The High Line Park

You'll take a guided walk on the HIGH LINE for three blocks, NYC’s elevated outdoor park. You’ll love hearing tales of the High Line trains that once served the butchers below the tracks and local industries, local building architecture and it's fashion scene, the Titanic and see the newly built Little Island.

Went on the Chelsea Market and Highline tour in December 2023 (sorry for the late review)… we had a fantastic time. Plenty of time for photos and to eat. Our guide had some fantastic stories of his time filming different tv shows there as well. It was fascinating to hear the historic story of Chelsea market as well as getting a fantastic lunch as well. Highly recommended to anyone in NYC who is looking for a great tour and some great food.

Such an awesome tour! Joe was extremely knowledgable about the building and the area. The food tasted awesome and we can't wait to go again and bring friends with us that couldn't go the first time.

This food tour was extraordinary. We learned all kinds of food facts, learned all about Uneeda Baking and Nabisco, had tons of fun and did not leave hungry. Robin did such a great tour!!
