The three of us (myself, husband and teenage son) were in downtown Denver during Labor Day weekend. I booked this tour for Saturday, 9-1, and what a great way to spend a half-day outside of downtown Denver! Our tour guide, Robyn, was super-friendly, and extremely well-versed in the greater Denver area including all of our tour stops. Robyn guided us via a comfortable, late model tour van to the Red Rock Amphitheatre, along the Lariat Loop to Bear Creek Canyon, town of Evergreen (very cute), a stop at Lookout Mountain, and capped off with a drive through the town of Golden. It was a beautiful day and we saw amazing views of Colorado’s mountains. A few hints – the tour starts and ends at Union Station. It is important to be on time and wear comfortable walking shoes. Clothes will depend on the weather. While there are stops on this tour, the stops are about 20 minutes to a 1/2 hour in length. If you are looking for something more in-depth, you might want to consider one of the longer tour options. For us, this was perfect because we had other events to do in Downtown Denver, but it also provided us with a flavor of life outside of the mile-high city.

Our tour guide was awesome! She was Great driver and she had many interesting anecdotes about the area. I would recommend this tour because the length (4 hours ) was perfect and sights were magnificent.

My wife and I signed up for the 4 hour Foothills of the Rockies tour, which I had researched before flying to Denver. The itinerary included visiting the Red Rocks Amphitheater, shopping at a small town in the mountains (which turned out to be Evergreen, it was wonderful.), and stopping at the final resting place of my favorite frontiersman ans showman, William F. Cody, also known as Buffalo Bill. All instructions and directions were very clear and concise, so we had no problem finding our group meeting point, which was at the flagpole in front of Union Station. Susie, our tour guide, immediately made us feel at home with her welcoming comments and leadership abilities. Remember to not stand in the bike lane! Once our group was in the brand new tour bus, she asked us to introduce ourselves and state where we were from. She was very knowledgeable about the city, places to visit and/or shop, local wildlife, and she answered my questions with enthusiasm. I would suggest sitting in the front of the bus if possible, so you can get the best view. On the tour, you realize looking out the window is a major part of seeing the countryside. She pointed out an abandoned mine shaft, which I would have missed, but was very cool and historic to see. You do get plenty of time to visit, but if you want to get in depth, you may try scheduling an uber trip to Red Rocks or Buffalo Bill's grave in order to have time to go through the museums. Our tour guide mentioned that you can take the electric train from our starting point, to Golden CO, and that may be a touring option as well. Overall, our $ was well spent, and remember, the idea for the tour is to see several sites in an 4 hour approx time. PS, once you arrive in Evergreen, make sure to look to your left and see the mansion hidden in the trees. It is amazing how it seems to go on forever.
