What To Expect
1
Twin Falls
This half day tour is a combination of a 2-hour moderate hike (a few inclines for about five minutes at a time) to the Twin Falls and a visit to an old logging town, Snoqualmie with its famous Snoqualmie Falls nearby. I will pick you up in downtown Seattle and drive eastward for about 30 minutes until we arrive at the trailhead in Olallie State Park. We will hike in old growth forest along Snoqualmie Lower River to the Twin Falls and the Upper Falls, which are a beautiful cascade of waterfalls. After the hike we drive through North Bend, where the diner from the popular tv show "Twin Peaks" is located, to the old historic logging town, Snoqualmie.
2
Snoqualmie
In Snoqualmie town, we stop at the extravagant old depot from 1890 which is still in use today. We also take a look at the historic locomotives including steam engines.
3
Snoqualmie Falls
We then drive to the majestic Snoqualmie Falls which are 270 feet tall and see the falls from a few platforms followed by driving along Borst Lake, where Mount Si is reflected in the often still lake, on our way back to downtown Seattle.

We started with a 30-min drive to the hike at Twin Falls and up to the Upper falls. I believe there were 2 hours reserved for the hike, but we spent a bit more as not everyone in our group were that much of hikers. Me included, although I was not the one to cause some delay :) It is a doable hike, just be prepared for some not so steep but clear ascents that take more time. Gourgeous views as promised, so definitely worth it! Afterwards we drove to the Snoqualmie Falls. I would have prefered to have little bit more time there to have a visit at the Salish Loddge & Spa or walk the short trail nearby. By googling Salish Lodge & Spa it seems like you would like to spend a night there, though :) On the way to Snoqualmie Falls we also did a brief stop at the village and saw the railwaystation, too. This was a nice hike + visit to the Snoqualmie Falls with not too early morning and I believe is good value for money. There was some water and snacks (fruits etc.) reserved for us. The guide Susan was a nice person and thank you for also our chaffeur John!
