Overview

Your PRIVATE sailboat charter is hosted by Captain Dan, a licensed captain with 20 years of local sailing experience. Call to make arrangements for a private sail. Beginning 4/15/2021 --2 passengers bookings will be semi Private. 4 to 6 passengers booking will be a private group

You will board the "Wind Pirate", a very comfortable 40ft sailboat, from a private residence with parking. Complimentary bottled water & ice, as well as cups, plates and a fresh water shower are provided. You are welcome to bring food and beverage of your choice as yacht has refrigeration.

Your Sailing Charter begins and ends two miles from Fort Lauderdale Beach. You will cruise down the historic Fort Lauderdale New River through Downtown. You will pass millionaires row, mega yachts and Port Everglades set sail in the beautiful Atlantic Ocean. The Captain is always happy to discuss with you various sailing options to design your perfect day.

What To Expect

A Day on the Water

Your charter will begin and end at a private residence. We will board with group pictures to remember your day. Depending on the tour selected, our Sailing Charters are four hours or two-hours. Your host will be Captain Dan, a licensed boat captain with over 20 years of local sailing experience. You will be provided a variety of options based on your groups’ preference and weather. We welcome Anniversaries, Birthday Parties, Bachelor and Bachelorette wedding parties, Engagement experience, Picnics, sunset date nights or just chilling. You may want to ride the bow in a bean bag chair and sip a cocktails, sail in the Atlantic Ocean, or swim and snorkel. You may want to drive the boat under sail and learn how to sail. The day belongs to you. The sailboat is well equipped will all necessary safety equipment; Your Safety is our responsibility.

Cancellation Policy

For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.

My husband and I sailed with Captain Dan last week during a quick trip to Ft Lauderdale. This was our first time on a sail boat even though we have chartered many many boats and also our first time in beautiful Ft Lauderdale. We booked a 4 hour private charter and it was just lovely! From arriving to his dock to sailing the intracoastal and out into the ocean. Captain Dan was professional and friendly and knowledgeable! You could tell he loves sailing and was very good at it- even let us take the wheel and taught us a couple sailing tips! It was too chilly to take a dip into the ocean but Captain Dan had a nice bottle of wine for us to enjoy while sailing. He and his wife even had many photo ops for us to remember our trip:)

We had a wonderful time cruising the New River and the Intracoastal Waterway aboard the Wind Pirate. Dan was a great host, eager to share his deep knowledge of both land and waters with us. My wife is a very skilled sailor herself and could not help but admire his expertise and seamanship navigating a 38' sailboat through some very tight channels. The vessel is meticulously maintained and obviously much-loved. We really enjoyed our Day on the Water and look forward to calling on Dan again next visit to Fort Lauderdale!

We had a wonderful trip with Captain Dan and cruised around the Ft. Lauderdale inter coastal waterway for several hours. You can't find a better deal to see all the sites of South Florida on the water. We recommend Captain Dan as he is extremely knowledgeable about the area and a South Florida native. If you're in the area, you have to book a trip on the Wind Pirate. It is a must do day trip for all who visit the area.
