The whole trip was a great experience despite the rainy weather. Ranger Randy made the Fort Sumter visit fun in providing an excellent historical talk with fun quotes and details woven into it. Would highly recommend this tour.

This was a well worth tour. The boat ride is a nice way to see the bay. The visit to the fort was excellent and the ranger's introductory talk very good. Recommended to all history buffs.

The tour operator on the ferry gave us one of the best overviews of the Civil War we have heard (and did multiple walking tours/museums etc). His name was Woody and he was a clear, logical teacher who made a great intro into Fort Sumter, Civil War etc. Fort Sumter is worth a visit. There is no food/drink on the island (very small) and you have about 1 hr on the island.
