Frederic Remington Art Museum
Guests will enter through the large front door into the rich quarter-sawn oak interiors of the Parish Mansion. Once inside docents will provide a 15 minute lecture in the Tiffany Room, named for its Tiffany lamp that hangs. Guests will then be led down the interpretive corridor to view a timeline of Remington's life and glass cases with his personal possessions. At the end of the hall guests will enter the Newell Galleries where they will view original bronze sculptures and paintings by artist Frederic Remington. Docents will provide information on the bronzes and paintings. The tour will continue to the second floor. There you will see Remington Estate Furniture and a room which tells about the history of the Parish Mansion. Finally enter into the Richard E. Winter Gallery to view the temporary exhibits. Guests are then encouraged to stop in the Museum Shop. There you will find wonderful reproductions and gifts to remember your experience.
