I enjoyed touring the old part of the city, but thought that finding out about where the laundry mat and a few other places were was a waste of time.

Thank you for your review. We were a bit surprised about the laundry mat mention as we do not point out local laundry facilities as a rule, but after investigating I found that our historian was pointing out repurposed historic buildings along the City tour route. This particular building has old machinery in front of it from the 1800's that was used to process laundry for the city. It is now a nationally recognized interior designer's local store. In a small town that is now 176 years old there are a good many repurposed buildings such as this and we frequently get questions about them. Because this building is within our historic district and along our route, Dave points it out. Thank you for visiting Fredericksburg and we are happy that you enjoyed your tour!
