Freedom Trail: Small Group Tour of Revolutionary Boston (2.5 Hours)

Overview
Boston's principal role in launching the American Revolution is linked by the brick-lined Freedom Trail. This world-famous pedestrian path is best experienced on foot, in a small group, with a knowledgeable local guide! This 2.5-hour tour travels the trail from Boston Common to Copp's Hill Terrace, providing guests a chance to see ALL SIXTEEN official landmarks on the Freedom Trail.

Our small-group walking tour delves deeply into the years 1760 to 1776, the tumultuous years leading into the American Revolution. We walk in the footsteps of Colonial Bostonians, all of whom grappled with the difficult—yet essential—question of loyalty or rebellion to crown and country.

With a captivating storytelling approach, Hub Town Tours provides the perfect introduction to Boston's status as America's "Cradle of Liberty." As we travel past historic landmarks from Revolutionary Boston, your guide shares the gripping story of a small colonial town careening toward war with a global empire.

Perfect tour! Matthew made this 2.5 hours visit SO interesting and included many fun facts. There are 4 spots where we could seat while listening which was great because it was SO hot and humid. When we looked for tours our main criteria was small group (15 people max) and we are so glad we chose Hub Town Tours. We learned so much.

Shady benches are at a premium during the summertime in Boston, but Matthew is a veteran guide who knows all the tricks! We couldn't agree more about the small-group approach, Catherine—it's hard to enjoy a tour if you're crammed together on a hot day with too many others! Thank you for choosing Hub Town Tours and supporting our small business with this stellar review.

Excellent tour with an extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic tour guide - Matthew. The small group size allowed for questions, and we were able to hear at all times. Despite a miserable temperature of over 94 degrees, we thoroughly enjoyed the tour and never once considered bailing out due to the extreme weather. Matthew did his very best to keep guests in the shade when possible and stop for breaks. Highly recommend!

Matthew knows the ins-and-outs of the Freedom Trail after years leading tours across Boston, which includes how to find shade and keep folks comfortable in the extreme summer heat we've faced this year! Aside from questions, small groups also mean we're able to tuck tours into shady spots on the sunniest days, too. Thank you for sharing this glowing tour recommendation with us, Ms. Ralston!

Nicholas Roberts was an AMAZING guide! His tour was compelling like a thriller, I couldn’t wait for us to arrive at the next stops to find out how the stories continue. Absolutely recommend!
