Freedom Trail: Small Group Tour of Revolutionary Boston (2.5 Hours)

Overview
Boston's principal role in launching the American Revolution is linked by the brick-lined Freedom Trail. This world-famous pedestrian path is best experienced on foot, in a small group, with a knowledgeable local guide! This 2.5-hour tour travels the trail from Boston Common to Copp's Hill Terrace, providing guests a chance to see ALL SIXTEEN official landmarks on the Freedom Trail.

Our small-group walking tour delves deeply into the years 1760 to 1776, the tumultuous years leading into the American Revolution. We walk in the footsteps of Colonial Bostonians, all of whom grappled with the difficult—yet essential—question of loyalty or rebellion to crown and country.

With a captivating storytelling approach, Hub Town Tours provides the perfect introduction to Boston's status as America's "Cradle of Liberty." As we travel past historic landmarks from Revolutionary Boston, your guide shares the gripping story of a small colonial town careening toward war with a global empire.

We recently enjoyed this tour. Matthew is an excellent guide who clearly spends time learning about our history and seems to enjoy sharing his knowledge. We would highly recommend this tour! The only thing I might prefer would be a way to amplify the tour guide's voice. Sometimes, when our guide was talking as we were walking, I was unable to hear what was being said. He did stop and bring everyone close when he was addressing a particular location on the tour but there were some things he said as we were walking that I couldn't hear unless I was right next to him.

Thank you for this 5-star rating and honest review! We try to avoid tethering guides to voice amplification devices or microphones, but downtown can sometimes be quite noisy. That being said, it's great to learn how much you enjoyed Matthew's expertise and enthusiasm for Boston history! We are always assessing ways to provide the top-quality, small-group tour of the Freedom Trail and will look further into voice amplification solutions. Thank you!

Fascinating tour of revolutionary history. Nick is very knowledgeable and a great tour guide. Unfortunately the rain started halfway through our tour but Nick did not let that stop him we sheltered and he continued giving us some fascinating facts. I highly recommend this tour.

The foundational years of the United States are far from a boring time, and Nick is definitely the guide who can do those crucial historical events justice. Sorry to hear about the rain, but Hub Town Tours is always prepared to get a little wet for the sake of the history! Thanks for coming.
