Freedom Trail: Small Group Tour of Revolutionary Boston (2.5 Hours)

Overview
Boston's principal role in launching the American Revolution is linked by the brick-lined Freedom Trail. This world-famous pedestrian path is best experienced on foot, in a small group, with a knowledgeable local guide! This 2.5-hour tour travels the trail from Boston Common to Copp's Hill Terrace, providing guests a chance to see ALL SIXTEEN official landmarks on the Freedom Trail.

Our small-group walking tour delves deeply into the years 1760 to 1776, the tumultuous years leading into the American Revolution. We walk in the footsteps of Colonial Bostonians, all of whom grappled with the difficult—yet essential—question of loyalty or rebellion to crown and country.

With a captivating storytelling approach, Hub Town Tours provides the perfect introduction to Boston's status as America's "Cradle of Liberty." As we travel past historic landmarks from Revolutionary Boston, your guide shares the gripping story of a small colonial town careening toward war with a global empire.

Our guide (Matthew) did such an outstanding job presenting the information he had to share. We could tell he loves history and puts the work in to know his facts. Even though the weather was unbearably hot we had a wonderful time and it was one of the highlights of our trip. Thanks, Matthew!

No question, it's been a "scorchah" here in Boston this summer! Matthew is a veteran guide along the Freedom Trail, however, and he knows not only the historical facts, but how to keep folks cool and comfortable, too. It's great to receive such amazing feedback, Kim—we will let Matthew know how much you loved the tour!

This was an absolute most-do experience while you're in Boston. My husband and I took this tour and our guide, Darcy, was fabulous! Unfortunately we went on probaly the hotest day of the year at 98 degrees in the shade. She had walked the tour prior that morning to ensure we were in the shade as much as possible, and we greatly appreciated it! She had so many interesting facts and stories to share!

It's been a hot summer in town, so thank you for braving the heat to join Darcy on the Freedom Trail, Annette! She knows all the guide tricks and shady spots to keep things as comfortable as possible. We sincerely appreciate you rating Darcy's tour a "must-do experience" in Boston—there is no higher praise for a small business like ours!

It was a hot July afternoon and we walked about 2miles. Ted, our guide, made a lot of stops in shaded areas, some where we could sit down. We learned so much about the events leading up to the Revolution! I’ve walked the Freedom Trail in the past, but it was so much more interesting to have a knowledgeable guide! The size of the group was just right- we saw some bigger groups and we were glad we took this tour!

As the Freedom Trail balloons in popularity, small groups become more and more essential! We're proud to keep every group small—never more than 16 guests—which means we're able to share primary visuals, avoid microphones, and leave time/space for questions. Of course, tours are only worthwhile if you can see and hear the guide! Thanks for choosing Hub Town Tours.
