Freedom Trail: Small Group Tour of Revolutionary Boston (2.5 Hours)

Overview
Boston's principal role in launching the American Revolution is linked by the brick-lined Freedom Trail. This world-famous pedestrian path is best experienced on foot, in a small group, with a knowledgeable local guide! This 2.5-hour tour travels the trail from Boston Common to Copp's Hill Terrace, providing guests a chance to see ALL SIXTEEN official landmarks on the Freedom Trail.

Our small-group walking tour delves deeply into the years 1760 to 1776, the tumultuous years leading into the American Revolution. We walk in the footsteps of Colonial Bostonians, all of whom grappled with the difficult—yet essential—question of loyalty or rebellion to crown and country.

With a captivating storytelling approach, Hub Town Tours provides the perfect introduction to Boston's status as America's "Cradle of Liberty." As we travel past historic landmarks from Revolutionary Boston, your guide shares the gripping story of a small colonial town careening toward war with a global empire.

Our tour guide for the walking Boston Freedom Trail Tour was the best tour guide that I have ever had in all of my travels. Her name is Darcy Daniels. Darcy was extremely knowledgeable of history and delivered so much information in an interesting and extremely organized way. The tour took 2.5 hours and it seemed as if it was so much shorter. Her voice and organization of the information was wonderful. At the end of the tour everyone asked for her card because we all want to recommend her or take another tour with her. It was the such a wonderful experience. Thank you Darcy!

This is high praise, indeed! We are deeply appreciative that you took the time to write this phenomenal testimonial, Gustavo; we'll inform Darcy about how much you enjoyed her historical presentation. Darcy is without a doubt a phenomenal guide and teacher, and it is reviews like yours that remind us why we got into teaching history in the first place. Thank you, thank you!

The most memorable part of the tour for us were the stories about pre-revolutionary events that Darcy summarized in her own words, regarding each location along the freedom trail that we stopped at. Not only did it help us to recall historical events from what little we learned in school but helped us to really envision the bravery of so many patriots within the context of the times. Her summarization at the last stop about the events of 6/17/1775, the battle at Bunker Hill actually moved us to tears.

Thank you, sincerely, James. Our guides receive lots of incredible feedback for their hard work and dedication to history, but sometimes a guest's experience really stands out. We will absolutely be passing your heartfelt testimonial along to Darcy; we know that she will be very appreciative! Thank you for supporting our small business and enabling Darcy to do the work she loves.
