Freedom Trail: Small Group Tour of Revolutionary Boston (2.5 Hours)

Overview
Boston's principal role in launching the American Revolution is linked by the brick-lined Freedom Trail. This world-famous pedestrian path is best experienced on foot, in a small group, with a knowledgeable local guide! Your 2.5-hour tour travels from Boston Common to Copp's Hill Terrace in the North End, providing guests a chance to see ALL SIXTEEN official landmarks on the Freedom Trail.

Our small-group walking tour delves deeply into the years 1760 to 1776, the tumultuous years leading into the American Revolution. We walk in the footsteps of Colonial Bostonians, all of whom grappled with the difficult—yet essential—question of loyalty or rebellion to crown and country.

With a captivating storytelling approach, Hub Town Tours provides the perfect introduction to Boston's status as America's "Cradle of Liberty." As we travel past historic landmarks from Revolutionary Boston, your guide shares the gripping story of a small colonial town careening toward war with a global empire.

Carolyn Mikowski was our tour guide and was a penultimate expert guide. The day was overcast and occasionally drizzling rain and she made sure to have us under trees, awnings etc. if it was necessary. There was not enough rain to spoil the trip, though. I am a history buff but learned a lot of information about the birthplace of the nation during this tour. Carol was a fount of knowledge (she has advanced degrees in and continues studies/research in history, etc.) and could answer everyone's questions and even amplify on the information with additional collateral information. The walk was at a pleasant rate and she provided time for us to catch our breath, if we needed to. She provided detailed information during entire tour. Sometimes, it was difficult to hear her as our group, while not large, was confined to narrow sidewalks that often constrained us to single file or 2 abreast. This was incredibly interesting, informative and a tremendous use of vacation time. I would gladly use this guide and this service for future trips to Boston. 5 star rating for sure!!!

We really appreciate the amazing review! Happy to hear that Carolyn was able to provide some distraction from the drizzly weather. Carolyn is a local historian and archaeologist, she brings an immense amount of knowledge to our small team and we are delighted to have her. Thank you again.
