Boston's principal role in launching the American Revolution is linked by the brick-lined Freedom Trail. This world-famous pedestrian path is best experienced on foot, in a small group, with a knowledgeable local guide! This 2.5-hour tour travels the trail from Boston Common to Copp's Hill Terrace, providing guests a chance to see ALL SIXTEEN official landmarks on the Freedom Trail.

Our small-group walking tour delves deeply into the years 1760 to 1776, the tumultuous years leading into the American Revolution. We walk in the footsteps of Colonial Bostonians, all of whom grappled with the difficult—yet essential—question of loyalty or rebellion to crown and country.

An excellent and very educational tour. You start in Boston Commons, proceed to the cemetery next door, and then off to even more famous sites like the Boston Massacre. Throughout each stop out guide (Ted) explained the history and facts of each location and was willing and able to answer any question that any person on the tour could produce. He also did a wonderful job of having the group see 1760 Boston, showing and mapping out what would have been the geography of the time and just how small the town once was. If I had a warning, its that there is a fair bit of walking involved and that our tour actually took just over 3 hours. So it probably best have some flexibility when scheduling your day after/around the tour.

Ted met us at our hotel and gave us an extended Freedom Trail tour. He was very knowledgeable about the revolutionary war, the events leading up to its beginning and the facts surrounding the area and people involved. He brought a great well rounded view of the main characters on both sides of the conflict. What a pleasant change. As a history major his passion for the revolutionary war is clear in his excitement to relay the facts to his audience. It was a great morning spent learning some new things about a subject I thought I knew a lot about. Ted’s lunch suggestion was delicious and his suggestion for additional places to see on our trip was very helpful. I highly recommend this tour.

Nate was an amazing guide. He had extensive knowledge of the history of Boston. Nate was a great story teller and made you feel like you were watching history at every stop. I liked that we were in a small group. Many groups around us had all most 30 people that seemed not as engaged. I would highly recommend this tour.
