I don't think one can find a better guide than Melanie to spend a morning in French Quarter. Melanie is splendidly knowledgable about every block, street, and corner we visited. I extremely enjoyed our walk and talk and learned so much about New Orleans, its history, food, and musicā€“you name it! Absolutely fabulous experience. I would recommend you to have a nice breakfast and go with Melanie for the best two-hour walking tour experience one may expect.

As a teacher, Melanie was so knowledgeable about the history--and so good about not glossing over the city's darker past. I always hate when tour guides focus on making history palatable (ignoring things like the crimes committed against the original Native tribes or enslaved peoples who built the city), but Melanie did such a good job of making sure to acknowledge all the bad that happened along with how it shaped the city into the tourist destination it now is. My husband and I had an absolute blast on this tour and recommend it to anyone who plans on visiting.

Melanie is very knowledgeable about New Orleans history and shared her passion with our family. The tour was a perfect combination of walking and sightseeing.
