I have lived in New Orleans for over 20 years and my family has visited many times however this visit included teenagers. I booked online for a party of 7 for the 10:30am tour. Janet was our guide, the temperature was 48°F and windy but that did not deter Janet in giving an interesting , informative and enthusiastic tour! After the tour we warmed up at a local restaurant and talked about the amount of information we received and the amazing culture of Louisiana all the ethnicities that contributed to its growth. I will take this tour again.....in the spring!😊

I am a seasoned tour taker. I sign up for tours wherever I travel be it in the USA or overseas. I have participated in 3 tours given by Friends of the Cabildo guides over the past 9 months and all have been a wonderful and enlightening experience. The tour guides (ALL volunteers!) are evidently enthused and passionate about the city of New Orleans. Each guide's excellent training is evident in the presentation skills and knowledge that he/she brings to the tour. But this is not a canned-speech tour, each guide designs the tour with his/her individual twists and interests making each tour a unique experience. The French Quarter Walking Tour was so informative---making you love the French Quarter even more--- as you hear the history, quirks, and characters who give this city its special flavor. I highly recommend tours presented by the Friends of the Cabildo. You can tell this is a labor of love for these guides.

My husband and I took a guided tour of the 1850 House tour over the Christmas holidays and enjoyed it very much. The tour docent was extremely informative and we learned so much about the history of the house as well as New Orleans. I highly recommend this tour.
