Arlene was an amazing tour guide. We learned so much during our 2 hours and was a great start to our New Orleans vacation. Will appreciate the city so much more knowing the history. Highly recommend you start your trip to the French Quarter here.

Great tour led by Roger. This tour supports the Louisiana State museums. The 1850 House, start point of the tour, is quite interesting in itself. I learned a lot about the history of Jackson Square and surrounding areas. Some of the Civil Engineering details of construction below sea level with high heat and humidity were fascinating. Roger also had a way of maintaining your attention span with visual props and "teasers" ("...hold that thought, I'll tell you more later on the tour"). Also interesting is that we had several locals on our tour who contributed their experiences and knowledge as well.

I enjoyed supporting this local historical tour of the French Quarter. Got to see a lot of sights I would have not expected to see in the French Quarter and really wanted to go back to a lot of these places we explored. Our tour was a little bit noisy and slow to start off (tour guide spoke in front of a water fountain, in front of muscian in Jackson Square) for the history part of the tour but then once you get around the side street a lot of history and great understanding of the city.
