This French Quarter walking tour is conducted by city licensed guides and emphasize the history, architecture, and folklore of this fascinating city. Tour and store proceeds benefit Friends of the Cabildo, a non-profit volunteer group to provide support for the Louisiana State Museum. Purchasing a walking tour ticket also gets you admission to the 1850 House Museum, above the store, that shows what life was like in a typical Pontalba Apartment in the 1850s. Restroom is provided for walking tour guests as well.

We use the VOX Whisper System. Staff is responsible for cleaning each machine. The ear and mic buds are disposable. Units will only be used once per week to allow for rotating a clean unit to guests & guides. Guests can remove mask outside during the tour, inside state law requires a mask.

Our walking tour with Ms Jeanne Wilson was absolutely wonderful. Her knowledge about the history of New Orleans and the people who made the city what it is today is unreal. She had so many anecdotes full of humor, historical facts and sad truths. The French Quarter was alive with her vivid tales of yellow fever and assassination attempts of baronesses seasoned with smatterings of movie trivia and suggestions on where to get the best drink. At the end of our tour she offered to keep going and give us an extended version and we, of course agreed. Sharing architectural knowledge as well as her genuine love of the city made this experience one of my favorites while visiting New Orleans.
