This French Quarter walking tour is conducted by city licensed guides and emphasize the history, architecture, and folklore of this fascinating city. Tour and store proceeds benefit Friends of the Cabildo, a non-profit volunteer group to provide support for the Louisiana State Museum. Purchasing a walking tour ticket also gets you admission to the 1850 House Museum, above the store, that shows what life was like in a typical Pontalba Apartment in the 1850s. Restroom is provided for walking tour guests as well.

We use the VOX Whisper System. Staff is responsible for cleaning each machine. The ear and mic buds are disposable. Units will only be used once per week to allow for rotating a clean unit to guests & guides. Guests can remove mask outside during the tour, inside state law requires a mask.

Amazing, affordable walking tour of the French Quarter where you learn about the history of New Orleans. Also, the fantastic tour guide showed us and explained the different architectural styles influenced by the French and Spanish. Highly recommend as it gave us a better understanding and appreciation of the city! I would say that the tour was more geared towards adults who were interested in learning about NO and didn't mind walking close to 3 miles.

Our volunteer guide Roger was excellent. For a history buff like me, his knowledge of and passion to share the very rich history of New Orleans was a treat. I had a great time listening to Roger and came out mesmerized by the many fascinating things that make New Orleans so unique. For people who love history I highly recommend this walking tour, with Roger.
