I found this tour on Trip Advisor and despite the rain, we had a great time!!! Steven was funny and well versed in Austin/ Texas history. Steven also provided emergency ponchos that proved to be useful on our tour. The Salt Lick was tasty and the two wineries were great. I especially enjoyed the Driftwood Estates Winery. Would totally do it again or any of the Austin Detours activities.

This tour was absolutely amazing. The tour guide ?Brent? was very informative about the area. LOVED Salt Lick although I would recommend not going on a Sunday because itā€™s pretty crowded and in Texas you canā€™t drink before noon so basically no wine at Salt Lick (sorry but the food is AMAZING). The first winery was the best (in my opinion) because Iā€™m a sweeter/fruitier wine person. The view is fabulous as well. The second was so beautiful and if your a dry wine person, this one is great. We got flights at both wineryā€™s for about $15. Would 100% recommend if your looking for a funny/informative DD and wanting to try some great Texas wine.

I really enjoyed my tour and would definitely recommend but was a little disappointed in the organisation of the tour as we went to the BBQ place on a busy day and didnā€™t have a reservation or anything so had to wait for ages to get served. We had a reservation in one of the wine bars which was great! They staff were so lovely and helpful. The other wine bar was BEAUTIFUL but we had to wait for ages to be served and fight through the crowds. Overall would recommend but be prepared that you fend for yourselves at the stops.
