Searching for an affordable and fun way to get out to the famous Salt Lick BBQ and two (2) beautiful Texas Hill Country wineries? Look no further! This Hill Country BBQ and Wine Shuttle is great for solo travelers, couples, and small groups. The shuttle departs from the Austin Visitor Center at 10:30AM and heads out to the Driftwood area of the Texas Hill Country approx. 35-45 minutes southwest of Austin. Enjoy comfortable transportation in a Mercedes Sprinter van with a friendly local guide. Spend 45-50 minutes at each stop. Food/drinks not included in the shuttle price; guests pay directly at the restaurant and wineries.

Tour departs from the AUSTIN VISITOR CENTER located at 602 E. 4th Street, Austin, TX 78701.
Minimum drinking age is 21 years old.
Please arrive 15 minutes prior to start time for check in. We are unable to delay the tour for guests who arrive late.
Parking is available in the Austin Convention Center Garage which is connected to the Austin Visitor Center. Enter the garage on E 5th St between Red River and Sabine.
The tour runs rain or shine, however we reserve the right to cancel the tour in the event of extreme weather and/or hazardous road conditions that would potentially affect the safety of our guides and guests.
Guests with limited mobility are welcome to bring a wheelchair or portable scooter on board to be folded and placed in the rear of the van. The vans are not equipped with a ramp or wheelchair lift however, so all guests must be able to step up into the vehicle (about 12 inches).
If you have cold or flu-like symptoms or if you are feeling ill in any way, please do not join the tour.

My husband and I were in town from Louisiana for a concert event and to celebrate a birthday, so we were looking for some fun ideas to explore the Austin area and who doesn’t like wine and BBQ? We both work a lot and needed a good weekend of play without having to worry about driving and trying to navigate through unknown areas. On a whim, I chose this tour, and even after a very late night , we were excited to get up and explore the Austin hill country. We were promptly greeted by the sweetest young person, Henry , whom I quickly decided was one of the most memorable people I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. She made the experience so much fun from start to finish. All along the ride up, she pointed out landmarks, gave advice on places to visit, tailored specifically to each group of visitors in the tour. My husband and I were the “old couple” there was a very young couple and a small bachelorette party, so a very diverse crowd, but she seemed to have something that she could relate to each one of us and we all felt included in the whole days and events. She was very knowledgeable of Austin’s history, it’s landscape, the culture , etc. She even gave me a bit of history on some scandalous infamous Austin historical figures that I am related to which I thought was very interesting and fairly comical. If you get the chance to go on a tour , ask for Henry ; you certainly won’t be disappointed! Oh ! And the BBQ and wine were wonderful as well !

We had a great time on this tour today. Marty was very funny and very knowledgeable about the food and wine. Our first stop was salt licks and believe it or not the smoked turkey is delicious and so was the brisket and pork ribs. The two wineries were also good and Marty made the ride more fun! Would high recommend this for a day of food wine and fun.

Henry our tour guide was great. Interesting experience, other tourist were fun we made new friends. The wineries were ok Fall Creek was way too cramped and it was hot would be much nicer if groups could sit outside during the nice weather. Seating inside was too cramped that made the experience less than what it could have been.
