Despite an early morning to meet the shuttle to the ferry, we were excited. The ferry took off later than scheduled, but this was announced and eventually we were at sea. Unfortunately, the bottom cafeteria was under staffed which led to a 30-40 min wait in line. The rest was smooth sailing. The day in Bimini was fun. I highly recommend renting a golf cart to get around and see the island and meet the nicest people. We were aware the return trip would be at night, but the boat was delayed. Boarding was supposed at 7pm which ended up being 11pm. Understandably delays do happen, but there was no communication short of passengers sharing what they could with each other from what we could hear. Disappointed no apologies, explanation or consolation was given. After clearing customs State side, we had another hour wait in the shuttle waiting for all the passengers. There should be more options especially with the ferry delay. Staying on the positive side, despite the disappointing ending, it was a great excursion. The Bimini crew and the Ferry crew were friendly and professional.

Everything but the water was bad on this trip. Customs was horrible. The island had very few food and transportation options.

Promised was a pickup in Miami near the Bayside Market or Miami Beach (Collins Ave). However, this did not take place without replacement, so that I had to pay the cab to Fort Lauderdale out of my own pocket, for which the customer service has not apologized. Also, the departure and return times were not correctly specified, whereby I had to look for these on the page of Balaerian Caribbean itself. The departure times were changed: Departure is now 10 a.m. and return was at 6 p.m. (I had to ask on board). You can also book the tickets directly on the site of the ferry operator, here is also more flexible so that you can also plan overnight stays, which I would also recommend. The trip with the ferry and the island itself and the possibilities that offers that is really great. I enjoyed the almost 6h very much and the island can be explored almost completely in the time (there are golf carts for rent for a fee). The crossing was manageable with just under 2h, whereby you can also go on deck and marvel at the infinite sea blue.
