What To Expect
1
Wood Orchard
Possibly the biggest and most popular farm market in Door County. This market offers a huge variety of locally grown produce and fruity products galore.
2
Seaquist Orchards Farm Market
This is the heart of Door County Cherry Country and if it's open when we pass by, we won't be passing by. The place to go for anything cherries in Door County, they have a great selection of premade pies, fillings, preserves, and treats ready to eat. Travelers will also get to see some of the orchards that the family maintains.
3
Ellison Bluff State Natural Area
This is where we will likely eat lunch. Perched on a beautiful bluff overlooking Green Bay, this county park has one of the best views in the entire county.
4
Island Orchard Cider
Award winning hard cider is hand crafted from Washington Island grown apples. Taste the goodness found in this little hidden gem of a store located off the main highway in Ellison Bay.
5
Lautenbach's Orchard Country
The stop that embodies this tour. The Lautenbach's were one of the first to begin agricultural tourism in Door County and they are one of the leading producers of Door County Grapes and Apples in the area. They also produce some of the best wines and hard ciders from fruits they grow right here.
6
Harbor Ridge Winery
Located at the top of the hill in Egg Harbor, this Cabin Styled winery offers wine made from their own vineyards and a collection of different fruit wines. Their website boasts wines made from black cherries, plum, and elderberry to name a few.
7
Door 44 Winery
With it's own vineyard and production facility, you can see how wines are made while you taste them for yourselves. One of Door Counties newest wineries, the location is clean and modern and located in a rural setting.
8
Door Peninsula Winery
One of the oldest wineries in the county, the Door Peninsula Winery exists in what was once a schoolhouse. With recent renovations and additions the location now is one of the largest in the area with a huge selection of wines and other related products.

Dave was a great tour guide - very personable and knowledgeable! My wife and I were the only ones so we got a private tour that started at our hotel. We visited a few markets and several wineries in Door County. We are not really cider and wine people, but we sampled quite a few ciders, wines, and cheeses having a fantastic time. Even bought a couple bottles for later! Being our first time in Door County, this was a perfect introduction. Our lunch was nice but the place Dave took us to made it great. Since it was just us and there was time, Dave added a place or two. We told the hotel staff about it and would recommend this to anyone.

There was no itinerary so it felt like we got a ride to random wineries in a nice van. No snacks or water were offered to us as the description said there would be.

Yes, every day will feel a little different on our tours because exact itineraries are not possible due to a number of factors. Picking groups up around the county means that every day we have the potential for different starting points which affects our exact route for the day. Additionally, some folks don't like drinking right away in the morning, and we need to arrive to pick up our lunch at a specific time so accommodations are made on the fly which may make it feel random but it's all in an effort to customize the tour to the individuals and keep us on a time schedule. Snacks and waters are always available in the van, they never get removed. I usually announce that water and snacks are available but if I didn't on your tour I apologize. I would absolutely have produced these items had I known you wanted them (the waters are in between the front seats in the bag and snacks are in the front). But yes, the service is basically going from winery to winery, safely, and in a nice vehicle which is what the description says. Not sure what else you were expecting.
