Our day with JJ was amazing! We asked for a fun, relaxing trip seeing sights and hopefully having some fish to ship home. He gave us exactly what we asked for and more. My husband, Scott, and I had never been fly fishing, but he explained the process perfectly (and patiently). Scott quickly caught his limit, but JJ never gave up on helping me. Many of the species we caught, we couldn't keep, but I appreciated how cautious he was with netting and releasing them. He took us to some of his favorite spots but was also very courteous to other fishermen so as to not bother or invade their space. We caught around a dozen fish and saw beautiful sights (including bears!) JJ is a gentleman that makes you feel like you have been lifelong friends before the trip is over! We can't wait to get back to Alaska and book another trip with him!

Best guides on the Kenai. JJ and Matt are just absolutely amazing. They quickly teach you how to fish the river and put you on fish. I have been fishing with JJ for years and would not use any other guide company. I can’t say enough great things here to describe these guys. Chris

We first booked JJ by chance several years ago and he is our go to guide on the Kenai when we have guests in town. The experience is always top shelf. He knows the river so well and we always catch lots of fish. Always pleasant and you'll feel like you've known him for years on your first trip. Highly recommended.
