JJ Brown is the real deal when it comes to a fishing guide in Alaska - specifically the Kenai river. He knows the exact spots to fish for sockeye and my 3 boys caught their limit which was thrilling for them. In fact, THIS was the highlight of their 2 week trip in Alaska. He provided just the right amount of fly fishing instruction when necessary (i.e. when my third son hadn't caught any fish) and gave us great information in advance in terms of what to bring, what to wear and suggested we start earlier than we originally intended to nab the prime fishing spot! He also gave me great tips on what to do/where to go while the boys were fishing and did an outstanding job filleting our fish. My boys spend the majority of their time wading/casting in the cold Kenai river which was so cold their toes were numb, but the memory of catching sockeye salmon will be something they will remember forever! We highly recommend JJ Brown as a fishing guide.

What a great day! JJ Brown was an excellent guide and we highly recommend booking a day-long adventure fishing on the Kenai.. Even with fishing experience, there was a lot to learn, and JJ took the time to not only instruct us at the beginning, but coach with helpful tips as the day and the fishing progressed. We were really glad we booked a whole day, as the experience was that much fuller. This was a true highlight of our trip and we look forward to returning!

Matt was an amazing guide who was passionate and knowledgeable. We caught so many fish!!! Matt also worked with my fiancé to find a serene back channel so that he could propose! You won’t regret this awesome memory!!!!!
