Full Day Glacier National Park Whitewater Rafting Adventure - With Lunch!

Overview

Explore Glacier National Park's Wild and Scenic border river, the Middle Fork Flathead, with our highly trained, friendly, interpretive river guides. First, float a relaxing stretch of river. Next, your guide selects a secluded spot for a delicious, buffet style lunch. Our kitchen sources locally and organically whenever possible, and you’ll taste the difference!

After lunch, explore 9 named rapids - typically rated class II and III. Bonecrusher is always a favorite! This is a fun and splashy adventure through pristine, glacially fed waters. Finally, float beneath Glacier’s historic Old Belton Bridge. Your adventure ends in West Glacier with a 5 minute bus ride back to our campus.

Trips depart rain or shine. Trips meet at 9:15am, 9:45am departure. No experience necessary.

No maximum weight - must be able to buckle a 58" chest life jacket. Minimum age 5, minimum weight of 50 pounds. Minimums may be higher if river levels are higher, as they often are in the spring.

What To Expect

Middle Fork of the Flathead

You’ll raft along Glacier National Park's southwestern boundary, which is formed by the Wild and Scenic Middle Fork Flathead River. The trip winds through John F. Stevens Canyon, where the rapids are generally rated class II and III. This is a fun and splashy whitewater rafting adventure for families, couples, friends, and solo travelers!

This was our third Whitewater rafting trip with Glacier Guides, but the first full-day trip. The lunch was delicious and as always, the rapids were super fun! The water is still high from all the rain, so the rapids were even better than normal...Tunnel Rapid was insanely fun! Our guide, Joe, was super. We had an absolute blast! He had fun challenges for the kids and lots of good info about the history of Glacier and the area in general. I highly recommend this trip! Ask for Joe!!!!

My 17 year old son and I had the raft to ourselves. Joe, our guide, was knowledgeable and accommodating. We enjoyed the trip and the lunch by the river was very good. I would say the rapids weren't more than a Class 2 and although fun, it wasn't challenging. I recommend this to anyone looking for a mix of relaxing with beautiful views with some rapids for excitement.

Our Wild and Scenic, undammed rivers are free flowing, not dam controlled, so they rise and fall with the snowmelt and the rainfall. You were here on a day when the water was a little high and fast that the rapids were a bit washed out. Come back again later this season and let us show you why this experience is worthy of 5 stars! We really enjoyed this trip. The guides were great and very informative and entertaining. The lunch was fabulous and the views can't be beat. We'll definitely be back!
