We had an incredible kayak/hiking tour, seeing everything from Lemon sharks and manatees to cypress domes and orchids. We learned how to tell the difference between red, black, and white mangroves, that gators' and spiders' eyes reflect light, and that 15 foot crocodiles and alligators tend to mind their own business unless provoked! Our guide, Adam, was knowledgeable and fearless--and barefoot. We were lucky to have a fun group: all nature lovers,who were interested and interesting. The night walk was thrilling (hundreds of gators) and the stars were beautiful. Tell your friends and visitors: go on an adventure and see real Florida and skip Disneyworld!

My husband and I had a great time on Garl's all day Everglade's tour. Garl is the kind of guy who doesn't wear shoes, in the everglades and while driving. He was a good guide and knew where to find alligator holes, rare orchids and other critters. The night part of the tour was creepy--but I don't want to ruin it for you!

Garl's Coastal Kayaking is absolutely priceless! My Mom and I went and had the best day ever. Even though it stormed and we were soaking wet half the day, it just added to the ambiance of the day. We stopped by a produce stand for some fresh fruit, hiked out to some gator holes barefoot, kayaked through some mangroves, and did a night hike. I cannot wait for my next visit from a friend or family member so I can take them too!
