My favorite part was slogging through the cypress dome. It was just so beautiful—the water was so clear, the plants were so thick, and the ‘gators and birds didn’t disappoint. Garl was amazingly knowledgeable about every detail—plants, wildlife—all of it. He helped us through the hard parts and always made us feel safe. Now I want to go back in every season to see how things change.

I did five guided wildlife ecotours while in southern Florida and Garl was far and away the most knowledgeable about wildlife. As a new minted PhD in wildlife biology I really appreciated all his great experience and knowledge!

Many favorites: wading through the swamp looking for gaters; paddling among the mangroves; paddling through the bay at sunset
