Garl loves the Everglades. This, and his encyclopedic knowledge of the region create a wonderfully detailed and tailored tour. My wife and I are a bit adventurous so our consisted of a trek in knee deep water, then a fresh water kayak tour the a sea kayak tour. We learned about topography, the micro environments, and flora and fauna. Highlights: seeing crocodiles, alligators, bald eagles, and manatees. We saw countless waterfowl, bromeliads and orchids. We also helped capture and invasive python that crossed our path! We plan returning with the kids!

I'll be honest, I didn't want to go on this tour. I've been to the Everglades before and the thought of 'slogging' and kayaking wasn't high on my agenda for a restful holiday, however my wife demanded that I book it - and I'm so glad that she did! Garl will plan an itinerary for the day based on weather and tidal conditions and it's clear from the outset that his knowledge of the plants, wildlife and the area is beyond reproach. Everything is explained to you before you venture out into the wilderness and he'll make sure that safety is paramount. He'll even take photos so you don't have to worry about dropping your expensive camera. Slogging wasn't my favourite part; walking waist high in water, brushing away spiders and cobwebs on the hunt for wildlife gave me the creeps, however the experience led to an alligator hole, indigenous frogs and crickets and a great laugh. Kayaking was tough as the wind and tide decided to turn against us but we saw Crocodiles, rare birds and even a lemon shark......and also managed to avoid a divorce as we both dragged ourselves out of the kayak at the end - to be greeted by two manatees; my wife was in heaven and I suppose that's all that matters. Garl has a great sense of humour (not all Americans understand our unique British sense of humour!) and we thoroughly enjoyed the 8 hours that we spent with him and would recommend the trip to anyone.

Sophie and me took part in an excellent organized tour in the glades for whole day of adventure & fun. The day started at Garlā€™s place 12:00am in the afternoon where we went to our first spot in the park to walk in the deep water forest. There we met an alligator mom watching for her eggs. Really amazing to see! Further on we went to our 2nd stop where we had a fantastic kayaking through the mangroves. Our last stop was at the sea where we enjoyed the sunset in the middle of nature with plenty of birds and sharks and a bottle of wine šŸ˜Š On the way back in the middle of darkness we stopped by to see plenty of gators in a park only 4 feet away of us. Even some snakes and smaller animals passed our way. All in all a really amazing and outstanding tour with Garl who made a perfect job all day long and has a lot of experience out there and can tell you everything you wanna now. If you plan a tour out in the glades this is definitely what you are looking for! Sophie and Markus
