Learning the names of each rapid as you approach them and how with each season they change with the water flow was pretty epic. It was also an enjoyable time as we were cruising along the flat water to learn more about the local area and catch some local wildlife (we saw a few antelope). If you're big into rapids I recommend going earlier in the year, if you want an easier time later in the year the rapids were lower class (I think all 2s). All in all a great day to break up your time in Yellowstone and to cool off a bit from the late summer heat!

We did the half day white water trip, and it was wet, exciting, and a great workout, too! Wild West was a great group to do it with. They were organized, super friendly, and skillful on the water. Oh, and Eddie the dog was so happy and had such good time hanging around the shop, his joy was contagious!

We were a group of 22 people from Minnesota, which they divided into 2 boats. We booked a full day trip (5 hours). Our guide was Jeff- and wow, he exceeded our expectations! He provided a great mix of historical info as well as humor and really made the trip even more memorable. So, from the start- booking online was straightforward and fast. Check in was easy at the desk, they brought us through a line where we picked up lifejackets and watershoes and loaded us onto a bus that we rode a few blocks to the dropoff point. Masks were required on the bus and in the check in desk, and the guides gave EVERY SINGLE person hand sanitizer as they entered the bus (and also at lunch). From the start on the bus the guides got everyone laughing and engaged and you could tell it was gonna be fun. Each group helped to carry their boat down to the launch site and they took pro photos there (and also action shots of each boat on the rapids). Before launching they gave everyone a quick tutorial on what to do and how to do it and then we got on the water right away. The scenery was amazing as well as animals and birds. The guides tried a new maneuver, dubbed the MINNESOTA CENTIPEDE, where we all hooked up boats- Ask your guide to do it when you go down the river! The river has a few good rapids and lots of quiet spots to just float with the current. They provided a lunch on the shore- sandwiches on buns, chips, lemonade and cookies- very good! By far this was our favorite activity all week in Yellowstone and we did a LOT of activities. This group was well organized, super fun and engaging, very knowledgeable about the river and park, we felt 100% safe the entire time (even with 6 yr olds on the boat), and the scenery can't be beat. Can't recommend this organization enough and can't wait to come back to do it again! Thanks Jeff!
