Great way to see DC. Our guide was Matt. He was really polite and great at communicating the agenda as well as giving directions. The stop at Arlington was really long and involved a lot of walking. Matt did warn us of this though.

The trip itself would have been wonderful on it's own merits with the history and notable sites visited. We feel that the reason this trip stood out and was an experience beyond our expectations was due to our guide, Matt. While narrating our journey, he involved trivia, provided clues for a scavenger type experience at each site, and included all travelers in his commentary with a wonderful touch of humor. We were able to view the most notable statues, monuments, buildings, historical sites regardless of the somewhat inclement weather. Matt brought these sites to life with his knowledge and assisted in helping you feel the history, not just see it. His manner draws in all ages within the group and his impact with involving our teenage daughter made this DC bus trip tour the highpoint of her vacation. You could find a tour group group easily but to find one that incorporates the talented guides to optimize your journey and experience....this guided tour was more than what we expected and is a tremendous value with the memories you take away with you.

This was a great overview day of many beautiful sites. It was an easy to find departure site just 5 minutes from our hotel. Our tour guide/driver Matt was friendly and informative. He was considerate of my walking limitations and checked in on me several times to make sure I was ok. Breakfast was a quick stop at a mall food court in Alexandria. (Pro tip - order online from Starbucks or Panera as you’re arriving and your order will be waiting for you!) I thought 2 hours at Arlington was going to be too long but it turned out I wanted to see more! Our stops included: •Iwo Jima memorial •Arlington cemetery •Lincoln Memorial •Vietnam & Korean memorials •Nat’l mall 2 hrs free time •Capitol photo stop •White House (south lawn) photo op •Drive by tour if many other notable buildings/monuments •WWII memorial I would recommend taking snacks if you tend to get hungry. There were outlets in our bus for charging and cup holders for your coffee or water. We were able to leave our main items securely on the bus while we got off so bring any necessities to make your trip more comfortable without worrying you'll have to carry it around. Definitely recommend!
