Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park

Did you know that Monument Valley also has arches, windows, and ancient Anasazi petroglyphs? Get the full scenic experience in the Restricted area with visits to the Big Indian, Sleeping Dragon, and all the arches – the Big Hogan, Moccasin Arch, Sun’s Eye, and Ear of the Wind. You will also see ancient Anasazi petroglyphs on the canyon walls below Sun’s Eye. ** Includes a Hogan visit with the late Susie Yazzie’s family, who demonstrate traditional Navajo rug weaving and narrate the significance of artifacts such as the baby cradleboard. This tour also includes everything you see in the Scenic Express tour.

To anyone planning a 2020 visit to Monument Valley, I highly recommend Larry T. of Navajo Guided Tour Service. We toured with Larry T. this past August, and he was an outstanding guide. He took us to a number of beautiful vantage points which we never would have been able to visit on our own. Larry grew up in the area, and each stop was greatly enhanced by his knowledge and understanding of the land, history, and related Navajo beliefs and customs. We opted for an SUV tour on a very hot day. Larry was continually concerned about our comfort and also enjoyed helping us with photographing this amazing landscape. I cannot speak highly enough about this experience - one I hope to repeat in the not too distant future.

We toured with Larry Team and he was the best! We went on the 2.5 hour tour and arrived at 2PM hoping to catch the sunset on the Valley. Larry made sure we saw all the sites so he actually kept us out for extra time which was so great. He told us many stories of Navajo culture and history which were fascinating, he stopped wherever we asked to take photos and was very accommodating. He made us feel so comfortable, we would DEF recommend going with him. When we come back we are asking for Larry Team and so should you! Thanks for a truly unforgettable trip!

Jim M was the best guide. There was a mix up with the reservation and he dropped everything and was there within minutes to give me a solo tour. Memorable!!
