1859 Ashton Villa

Ashton Villa is one of many gilded mansions that you will experience in the silk stocking district. We will go onto the property of Ashton Villa as well as Normandy Inn, Charles Adams Mansion, and the Lucy Hickenlooper Mansion.

She was a great guide and was very informative of the area! But be prepared to walk, and bring water!

Had a great time with our guide, Jack. We had a large group and he checked that we were all there at each location and that we could hear him when he spoke. He entertained our group with interesting tales and musical ditties that went along with the information. The fact that our large group was quiet and attentive during his talks indicated that he, indeed, was an excellent guide. I highly recommend this evening tour.

No one showed up. There were 2 other ghost tour groups on the same block. The guide of the first group kindly let us know that we were not on his list. The guide of the second group was standing exactly where my GPS had pinned the meeting location. She was absolutely rude and disrespectful to the point of embarrassment. I really hope she was not supposed to be our guide. I do not think she should guide any group or be around people. It really felt like we were supposed to be in her group and she took one look at us and shooed us away. Coming from a black woman, this is a worse case scenario. Ultimately, our guide never showed up and we were on the phone with trip advisor for 15 minutes to get our refund. Considering I was in company with my 10 year old daughter, my 68 year old father, and my fiance, I feel we deserve more than a refund.
