Our tour guide was phenomenal. He had a lot of info about the various interesting buildings and characters in Georgetown. What was a shame (or a sham) were the restaurant selections, or the food items they chose to serve us. The first, Flavio, was the only one that was very tasty: Gnocchi, a large meatball, and panini with olive oil. The next two were very uninteresting and uninspired. āBodegaā was supposed to be tapas. It was incredibly mediocre. I am quite familiar with Spanish Tapas, and this couldnāt have been more uninspiring. Teeny tiny Gambas Al Ajillo, Patatas Brava that just tasted of Tabasco, and sautĆ©ed mushrooms. The third was a Mexican restaurant. We made a quick stop at a macaroon shop where we were allowed to select one, which was very good.
Letās be honest, on a food tour I was expecting some unique and exciting food. The image on the listing is lovely cheeses and wine. Other than the great guide, this was so disappointing.
