Mine for gems and fossils along covered outdoor or indoor rushing water flumes. Keep what you find. Explore the property and visit the goats at the goat barn. Visit the aviary to see peacocks, pheasants and more. Explore NC’s largest crystal and fossil store.

Great place for kids and adults alike! We got a small bucket and found a lot of cool rocks, unlike most places where you find hardly anything. We truly enjoyed the mining and animals! The peacock was showing out with its beautiful feathers! The goats were super friendly and loved to be fed! The staff was super knowledgeable and helpful! If you're in the area, this is a must!

Fun stop on a summer afternoon. Neat to walk around a d see the gems inside. The people mining had a lot of gems, more than I would have expected.

What a FUN, interesting experience with something for everyone! There’s a great gift shop, refreshments, ice cream, craft beer, picnic tables, and more! The best part though, was mining (sluicing) the gemstones out of the sand and clay! So many beautiful stones and even a fossil or two!!! I want to go again tomorrow!!! The staff was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly! Highly recommend!
