Ghost and Haunt Tour of Gatlinburg

Overview
Walk the back roads of Gatlinburg and learn about its haunted history and folklore on this nighttime tour. With a guide, you'll learn how you, too, can capture paranormal photos. Use ghost-hunting equipment like you see on tv to potentially communicate with ghosts along the way.
The tour is an outdoor walking tour as such there is plenty of room for social distancing and masks are optional, It is wheelchair and stroller accessible and service animals are allowed.
Unfortunately, due to the late completion time, the Trollys don’t run that late but we do offer free parking and of course, taxis and Uber, Lyft are available.
The walk is about one mile all on flat paved ground spread out over 2 hours with lots of stops so a messy relaxing walk but no places to sit or restrooms are available during the tour.
This is not a private tour groups can be as large as the upper 20’s in the busiest times but average in the high teens to low 20’s.

We booked the tour for a Friday night in April. We were in a group of about 15, so it was a good sized group but intimate enough to really enjoy the tour. The tour lasted 90 minutes for 20.00 per adult. It was interesting and we went to a few good stops around gatlinburg. It is a walking tour and does depart at 9pm. We enjoyed ourselves but wish there were a few more haunted places while on the tour, a few stops were just used as visual references to stories that took place elsewhere. We enjoyed the mix of history and ghost telling as they often times go hand in hand.

I thought this would be a fun tour to take close to Halloween. The tour takes you only a short distance and is basically a lot of stopping at places that "might have possibilities of supernatural photography." The tour consisted of one actually spooky story, and it was not scary but morbid and sad. It was actually fairly recent which made it even more disturbing rather than spooky. The rest of the tour consisted of stories of the towns history (interesting, but not haunted) and trying to capture paranormal photography, which we didn't. It was also very annoying that our tour guide, Danni, talked and talked about all of the photos people on previous tours had captured, yet if we aren't seeing anything similar, why would I be impressed? She also made horrible attempts at making us laugh, usually using the same "jokes" in different variations. It was also ridiculous that the tour stopped but did not loop back to the beginning. Therefore, we were stuck walking back at about 11pm by ourselves. For $18-20 a person and 90 minutes of your time you can find something better to do.

I took 4 teenage girls on this tour and was not expecting a whole lot. Wow! Tour guide Rex was awesome. Not only was the tour a great value for the money ( bring a tour brochure for the discount), but the setting, the history and the stories were really creepy. Of the dozen or so ghost tours I have been on, this one scared me the most, particularly the motel murder story. The unplanned visit of two small snakes along the walk just added to the creepiness!
