Ghost and Haunt Tour of Gatlinburg

Overview
Walk the back roads of Gatlinburg and learn about its haunted history and folklore on this nighttime tour. With a guide, you'll learn how you, too, can capture paranormal photos. Use ghost-hunting equipment like you see on tv to potentially communicate with ghosts along the way.
The tour is an outdoor walking tour as such there is plenty of room for social distancing and masks are optional, It is wheelchair and stroller accessible and service animals are allowed.
Unfortunately, due to the late completion time, the Trollys don’t run that late but we do offer free parking and of course, taxis and Uber, Lyft are available.
The walk is about one mile all on flat paved ground spread out over 2 hours with lots of stops so a messy relaxing walk but no places to sit or restrooms are available during the tour.
This is not a private tour groups can be as large as the upper 20’s in the busiest times but average in the high teens to low 20’s.

There are 2 companies in Gatlinburg that do these types of tours and we picked the wrong one. We thought there would be scary stories and a fun adventure. Instead we got long boring stories that had little or nothng to do with "ghosts". The lady that took us on our tour was very nice and I know she has a script. The first stop and story went on for about 15 looooong minutes. I (along with many other people) were ready to call it quits right away. There were aboutr 2 stories that were fairly interesting. The tour guide said she couldn't be as detailed as she wanted because of the young kids there. So because there were kids there- I don't get my money's worth. DON'T ALLOW KIDS!!! My 21 year old got some orbs on her camera (only a few people did) and she was super excited. The next time we are in Gatlinburg we will do the Gatlinburg Ghostwalk. Thet dress up and give you a "ghost detector". That's the fun we were hoping for. Don't waste your money. Don't bring kids- they will be bored out of their minds. The kids that were there, were. BUT- while waiting at the Holiday Inn for this tour to start, a HUGE black bear was in the parking lot. Everybody followed it across the street and watched it eat from the dumpster. That was way better than this tour. BTW- My 18 year didn't want to go because she doesn't like scary things- I thanked her for not going and saving me $18.

Entertaining tour departing from the attractive lobby of the Holiday Inn club vacations site just off the Gatlinburg parkway. Interesting stories, including some we hadn't read (and we read lots of ghost stories). At least one story had a rather gruesome ending (think twice on very small children). Walking tour--but not over a huge distance. Wear walking shoes, though--you are stepping into a cemetery at night. Long tour (took us about 2 hours), and we like length in a ghost tour. Lots of opportunities to take digital pictures outside buildings (we're not that in to taking tons of pics on ghost tours), but good related information was provided. Our group was large and well-managed by our guide Rex, who spent several extra minutes chatting with us individually after the tour. Friendly phone reservationist. Look for coupon on the back of attraction brochure. Free parking at hotel site during tour and for a bit longer thereafter (long enough to catch a late dinner if inclined).

My teenaged son and I went on the Ghost Tour while in Gatlinburg. Our guide, Colleen was wonderful. She was so knowledgeable and gave us so much of Gatlinburg's general history in addition to its haunted history. She was personable and answered all our questions. We had the treat of walking back with her after the tour and sharing personal ghost stories as well. The tour was about an hour in lenght and paced well for all of us. Almost everyone got some kind of photo showing an orb or something not easily explained. It was an interesting, fun way to spend an evening in Gatlinburg. We would do it again. Thanks, Colleen!
