Sorry, no tour can actually go inside this haunted private home but it is the most famous haunted house in the south + (My great great great aunt built this is 1831) This is the real Lalaurie mansion, but we also point the fake one used in American Horror story too. You see pictures of inside the house at the Haunted museum stop where we do the ghost hunt a for the finale of this tour!

We really enjoyed this tour. Jeane (probably misspelling her name) was good if a little fast, which I get because there was a decent length walking tour before the ghost hunt, so we needed to get around rather quickly. The ghost hunt was cool, but after walking around the small apartment for about 10 minutes with a couple different pieces of equipment, we were pretty much done, and the whole group basically just sat around the main room and listened to the guide tell stories for about a half hour before we went back downstairs to recap the video of our hunt. Had some things happen in the apartment with the rods and little talking box, but nothing moving or making us feel unwelcome. Fun tour but honestly donā€™t think I would pay what we did again for it. I get that the equipment is expensive so they are trying to cover themselves if something gets broken, but honestly I think I would have rather just sat and listened to her stories of the spirits rather than what little hunting we did do.

The pace was very fast. We had to almost run to keep up. Interesting and creepy stories. A bit confusing at the meeting place as the business had no idea if we were in the right place.

So sorry it was too fast for you! The meeting place is inside a very old haunted bar that is a historic landmark and can be very crowded , That anmd so many new employees might not know but we met the walking tours there for 18 years. We meet in courtyard patio section and call out your name or text you at the spot. make sure you come visit us at out shop and haunted museum next time for free just call me direct, i'm the curator and author Bloody Mary 504-915-7774

Very disappointed - we spent most of the time in the shop/museum where the Voodoo Priestess summoned the spirits and then we were supposed to communicate with them through an app that we downloaded onto our phones!!!!!! Yeah right. We were then loaded into a van and driven around some of the cemeteries including the pauper cemetery which was the most interesting part of the tour. However when we eventually stopped at a cemetery to explore and, we thought, hear some stories about the people buried there, our Priestess told us to check on our app as those spirits we'd summoned back at the shop had probably followed us and to come back in 45 minutes. We spent 5 minutes in the cemetery, 5 minutes in the mausoleum and cut the tour by an hour. I thought we'd walk around the city and hear some of the stories of haunted houses etc. but nothing like that was even offered. Very disappointed.

I am very sorry this tour was not what you expected, but this tour you mention above is not in the van and not offered on here on Viator so that a little confusing- nonetheless. the one you mention is a walking tour through the french quarter but you took the higher end longer VAN "ghost town tour" w cemetery . and Ghost hunt. that one is all about the paranormal experience and connection plus a city cemetery combo. The French quarter supernatural you mention above is the one & 1/2 ghost stories walking french quarter and mini ghost hunt inside so looks like you booked wrong one? But I am still sorry it was not what you expected. I do give a detailed description on line of what we are going to do on ea tour . The ghost hunt w equipment and voodoo paranormal. I guess I don't usually say summoning spirits but we open and close gates for spirit courtesy and protection, Then we use old school methods of giving them offerings, sometimes song and drum depending on the evening. so we describe what i teach as 'voodoo paranormal' then the new school paranormal is the techie stuff But we have many hand held paranormal equipment tools you use . not just apps for the 200 year old building the haunted museum ghost hunt to begin (not shop) we teach dowsing rods, k2 meters, ovulus, the interactive boo buddy wthermal thermometers and sometimes ghost box plus a play back night vision video of where we watch your journey and only 1 app for EVP word retrieval or a recording REVP machine. there are ghost stories outside 2 french quarter locations , in and around the cemeteries and we stop at my personal haunted house/voodoo house as well as though park and outside many neighborhoods. to try ot feel it all the whole experience is about connection w spirit, we do tell many many paranormal ghost experiences and seek connection. (plus history) some say there is too much history some say-not enough it is a personal. come to the museum when you visit again for free and when I am personally in or giving a tour, call and I can also get you my talking book and yes its in an APP form LOL with an hour and 1/2 of my , Bloody Mary storytelling and history . The log in to get it free are posted in the museum and shop but you may not have gotten it but i can send it, again sorry it wasn't what you thought you booked but we can always give you info of all the differences with a call or a visit to shop prior too
