Perhaps you’ll get to experience the hauntings at the King Kalakaua Building, which houses the Downtown Post Office where the ghosts of Benedict Westkaemper and others are said to still roam.

Downtown Honolulu
In 1809, Kamehameha I, who had been living at Waikiki which was once Hawaii's Royal Seat, moved his Royal Residence to Pākākā at Honolulu Harbor. Soon the area became the center for trading and, after Kamehameha the Great's death, the Royal Residence was moved again to the current location of Iolani Palace. Hundreds of years of history and hauntings reside in this Downtown area. From the Kamehameha Statue, we will walk to several buildings in the immediate vicinity and learn some of the haunted history that surrounds us.

Lopaka was truly amazing. He was so patient with my son who is ASD but was still engaging to the rest of us. My son is very interested in parapsychology and kept asking questions. Lopaka is knowledgeable in the subject and was able to explain hauntings and apparitions and many other things in layman’s terms for us. My son will be repeating the television analogy for a very long time! So happy we found this tour!

Aloha Noble, it was a pleasure having you on our tour. We have experience with neurodivergent family members and enjoy their sometimes insatiable curiosity. We hope to see you and your son on our tour again one day. Mahalo!

What a great tour. Lots of historical information, as well as ghost stories. The banyan trees were very creepy. Probably the highlight of the tour.
