If we only had two to three hours to spend on the water and wanted show our friends or family what it's like to experience the thrill of Class III Colorado whitewater rafting and the beauty of Glenwood Canyon, this would be the trip we'd take them on. And if we only had two hours because everyone had plans after the trip, well, we'd probably cancel them so we could all go rafting.

Rafting with Defiance was easy and enjoyable. 1/2 day was perfect amount of time for us. Staff are friendly knowledgeable and made us feel safe and have fun! I was initially concerned about the high river flow. I called and they put my worriea at ease. Our guide was entertaining and we rocked it down thw river. I recommended Defiance and rafting the colorado river at Glenwood springs, beautiful!

I don't know if this was a half-day trip or not. We left at around noon and returned somewhere around 3:30 p.m. There were 6 people in our party, 2 ppl in their 40's, 1 person 19 years old, 1 person 14 years old, and 2 ppl in their early 70's. This was a family outing. We were impressed with the preliminary outfitting, the friendliness of the staff on all levels, and the professionalism displayed. After the informative safety and instructional review by Tanner, we loaded the bus and set out. The teamwork of everyone from all the rafters was good. People stepped up to help with the rafts and equipment, whether it was for their raft or not. Then, when we got on the river, the experience was wonderful. Our guide,Tanner, was informative and skilled. He pointed out 3 bald eagles and sundry other points of interest. It was thrilling when we got into some of the rapids and were splashed. All of our party had a great time and would certainly use Defiance Rafting if the opportunity presented itself. We definitely will recommend Defiance to anyone who may be thinking of visiting the Glenwood Springs area. Kudos to everyone we came in contact with at Defiance, including the young lady who helped us with T-shirts.

I've done this trip three times now and it just keeps getting better. I did a lot of research and Defiance has the best rates and it appears that all of the rafting companies in Glenwood Springs do the same stretch of river. The water was around 45 degrees and we definitely got wet. Good idea to use the splash clothes that are offered to stay a little dryer and warmer. I will do this trip again next time I visit Colorado. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
